Welcome to the website for Are Ye Dancin'? the 2010 book about the history of Scottish dance halls, the rock'n'roll era, and how yer da met yer maw.

It's being written by Eddie Tobin, a 50-year veteran of the industry who's been given a lifetime achievement award and is known as Mr Entertainment amongst his colleagues. It's co-written by Martin Kielty, a rock'n'roll journalist who's had four books published in the past.

Are ye Dancin'? focuses on the stories of the people who made the dancin' what it was – you. Whether you were a dancer, a cashier, in the band, a steward or whatever, we're looking for your stories about those unforgettable nights on the town.

We'll be trying to get as many as possible into the book, alongside anecdotes from some of the biggest names to ever come out of Scotland.
